Saving a deposit for your first new home is never easy - particularly when you’ve got bills to pay,
adding travel pics to Instagram, online deliveries to sign for and a life to live. Most banks don’t seem to see it that way though, and often require as much as $30,000 genuine savings for a deposit. Thankfully, WA Housing Centre is different
That’s because we have access to a home loan that requires absolutely no savings to qualify. We work with The Loan Company to help people with little or no savings to build their first homes and we’ve been doing so for many years. Generations come and go but the challenges of being a first home buyer don’t.
You know what we’re going to say here - you may be paying more in rent than you could on a mortgage.
But it all sounds like sales speak and you put it in the too hard basket. We really do help people
who are renting to build their first homes. We can also check if you qualify for a renting help
fund of $10k to help pay some or all your rent while you’re building.
Let’s face it: when it comes to renting vs building, you’ve probably heard it all before. Things
like how renting really doesn’t add up in the long term. Like how all you’re doing is helping
your landlord pay off their mortgage. And like how you can’t even hang your own stuff on the
walls. But you already know this, so why waste time renting?
Let’s be honest: most of us have some debt. It could be a student loan. Or paying off the car. More
than likely it’s the dreaded credit card. Debt is
part of life and we’re here to help. We’ve helped thousands of West Australians like you to manage
their way out of the debt cycle and build their first homes - we may be able to do the same for
Building your first home can seem intimidating and confusing. When you here all your mates talking
about getting into the property market and you don’t have the first clue where to start, it causes
jealousy, resentment or even anger. Don’t stew on it though - we’re here to help!

I’ve been told by a lot of people that building is one of the stressful things you can do in life.
But going through WA Housing from the time Shane contacted me to the end when I picked up the
keys, it has been so smooth and easy I couldn’t see why everyone was saying it’s stressful. The
customer service is the best I’ve encountered and Rob the building supervisor has been so helpful
with a lot of tips for first home buyers. I thank you guys so much for making my first home buying
an easy one to remember. Will definitely be recommending to family and friends.
Over the moon - 5 out of 5
My partner and I are fist home buyers. We had no clue what we were doing/getting ourselves into.
There was a lot of paper work involved and was overwhelming but the team at WA housing was so
helpful and went through absolutely everything with us. It was the last day of the $15,000 first
home buyers, they booked us in for their last appointment to sign for the $15,000 late at night
(after hours). From the very start to finish we had all the help and information we needed (no
surprises, well not bad ones anyways). The portal is a fantastic idea to keep you up to date
plus all the telephone calls. The workmanship on our house is 10/10. My other half is a tradie
and hasn’t seen a house that is 110% perfect. I would highly recommend using this amazing company!
We are truly overwhelmed with joy. Building a house is not hard especially if you go with WA
Housing. We were never stressed as our purblind home was ok in the hands of this truly brilliant
company. Thank you so much! Melissa
Very Happy with my first home! - 5 out of 5
I was very pleased with my first home and building with BGC - WA Housing Centre was amazing. I had
no bad experiences and any issues that were brought up were fixed straight away. WA Housing made
my first dream home painless and enjoyable.
The entire journey from pre-start to handover has been smooth sailing and very enjoyable. I had no
idea what areas I need to start building my first home but working with WA Housing and all the
amazing staff helped me and catered to all my needs and questions. I would definitely recommend
WA Housing to anybody looking to build their first home.
Happy Customer - 5 out of 5
I had a good feeling from the beginning as the staff I dealt with seemed genuine and upfront. From start to finish the whole
process has been very easy, I have been kept well informed of progress, the WA housing Centre
online portal with regular photo updates is great, and all the staff I have dealt with have been
wonderful; in particular Sales Consultant - Lee, Finance Broker -Simon, Construction Consultant
- Kirsty and Build supervisor - Roy. I have had a few friends who have built with other companies...
and from shared experiences I can truly say I think I have had the best experience. There have
been no hidden surprises for me along the way and the build has been completed in a reasonable
timeframe. I paid for a building inspector to come and long to the PCI meeting and was expecting
a huge list of corrections... The building inspector only found 3 very minor items to be fixed
up at my inspection and was extremely surprised at the quality of the build and said it was the
best he had ever seen done by BGC.
