Building your new house, step by step. (And by a few more steps too.)

Bay learning walk step by step

Got your video camera ready?

Got it set on time lapse?

Great! Now if that bloke in the hard hat pouring the concrete would just get out of the way, you’re ready to watch your slab go down and to see the building of your brand-new home finally get underway.

Get ready for one of the most exciting times of your life

We need to be 100% honest here; at times it could be one of the most exasperating too. That’s because, way before that slab goes down, you’ve probably already pulled your hair out deciding exactly which design suits you best. For example, did you really want the second bathroom there? Or would the kids’ bedrooms be better towards the back of the house? And will that elevation you chose ever date? The point we’re making here is that building your new home, exciting as it undoubtedly is, means making lots of important decisions.
But don’t worry… at WA Housing Centre, we’re here to help every single step of the way.

Next come the brickies

And the sparkies. And the roofers. In fact, once the slab is down, every tradie you can imagine will then start to do their bit to turn your floorplan into a real-life home.
It might not be insta-perfect yet, but you can still turn up with your camera and take some progress photos.

Outside’s looking good, now for the inside

Next comes the so-called ‘fix’ stage. This is where your home really does start to look the part, with the walls being plastered and the internal doors fitted.
That kitchen you spent ages choosing the benchtops for will also get built. And you’ll finally be able to stop worrying whether those vanities really do suit the bathroom. Trust us, they do.

Just a few more finishing touches

By this time, your house really is looking pretty cool. And once things like any flooring, shelving and paintwork are added, plus things like lighting it will look even better.

Time for a closer look

Or, should we say, a much closer look. Once the building of your home is finished, you get to inspect every single brick, every single lick of paint, every single everything. This way, any defects that you do find can be made good before you sign off your final satisfaction.

Handover time

Never thought it would happen, did you? But guess what, it has. And trust us, when you get the keys to your new home, it will be one of the most exciting and rewarding times of your life.

WA Housing Centre has helped thousands of West Australians build their first new home. And now we can do the same for you. Click here to find out how we can get you into the home of your dreams from $255* per week!
